This is a story 5 years back when I was in Bangalore.I was doing my bachelors from Bangalore University.When you are outside your country, there is always a sense of loneliness deep inside .We love to deny it but thats Quite normal. I always believed " Fall in love , when you are ready but not when you are lonely".Thats what your brain says but not heart especially when you are in 20's , the hormones wins over yours Philosophy. When you are single, you do all idiotic stuffs to woo a girl.This is a incident when I spent a night in a police station in Bangalore just because I wanted to prove myself a hero in front of a girl.
There was a girl in my college from Dharan doing diploma in pharmacy. The only thing similarity between us was the nationality. When you are in a different country, this is something that brings people together .One day I got a text from her saying that a boy is troubling her.She told me, he constantly texts her with obscene and vulgar messages. When she was telling me those things, the only thing that was running in my mind was Wow, this is the nice time to impress her.Trust me , I didn't even like her.But still, I wanted to prove myself a superman. Guys stuffs.I told her to call the boy to a restaurant and confirmed I will be there too.In the mean time, my classmates told me that the guy was tough and strong one.He was from Bihar and his name was Akhilesh Yadav. My friends and seniors in hostel told me that they will go along with me to the restaurant.We went to restaurant together. Akhilesh was already there in the restaurant. One of my senior ,Sandeep Bajoria, was strong, tall and handsome guy.He confronted him first. Before I could realise what was happening, Sandeep gave a punch right below his nose .The sheer force pushed Akhilesh to Telephone booth behind to shatter into pieces of glass.The owner of the Restaurant called the Police and in few minutes they were there.Crap, in movies they are always late and here they are in the spot in minutes.I lost faith in hindi movies that day. They starting beating my other friends and Akhilesh with the sticks.I was recently out of hospital recovering from viral fever .I looked lean, thin and miserable.The police lifted the stick many a times but thanks to my health, they didnt even touch me.They knew if they will hit me even a stick, i will land up in hospital.My friends got numerous beating. The police called the auto and we were taken to Police station.
Few of my frens pleaded innocent and were released.I had noone in Bangalore.The worst thing i didnt understand the language and i was a foreign citizen.The police speaks in kannada,Bangalore's local language.The big guy,Akhilesh, knew everyone in police station. It was a place where he came often.Holy shit, I was in a mess.I spent whole night in police station with other inmates .The next day my college chairman gave a bail . Akhilesh threatened me that he will make my life a hell when he is out .I was calm but not really afraid.
I texted her after I was out from police station thinking we will be dancing around the tress like in old hindi movies. But there was a slight twist here.She called me back n she blamed me telling i was the one who started the fight.She further added that Akhilesh was a good guy.I was speechless .
